fifa world cup 2018

The world is set to rise from east and the rest of world will be awake at midnight supporting their countries; the telecast will be live from Russia – the host country for the 21st FIFA WORLD CUP 2018.

32 Countries divided in 8 groups with 4 teams in each group will play from 14th June to 28th June 2018 at group level. The countries who win the most games in their group will further compete in the Round of 16 where the real deal begins as it is the knock – outs, from here as they say: “Men will be separated from the Boys”.

The Quarter and the Semi-finals will bring out the crude, unsung heroes of the game. The squad of every team is spot on and the coaches are ready to make their ground with the game plans and the best way to execute their strategies.

Germany is the defending champion as they won against Argentina in the FIFA WORLD CUP 2014. The Brazilians  will be looking to bounce back from the disastrous loss in the semi-finals against Germany and give something to celebrate about as they are one of the front runners for the world cup by winning 5 times.  On the other hand Argentina and Uruguay have excelled 2 times and also the maiden winners England, France and Spain will want to have the CUP in their grasp just a few weeks away.

This just may not be the end of line. We have 25 more teams who have also come from a tough and hope crunching qualifiers where 208 countries contested and have made it through. Just to give you a gist of the competition, countries like – Italy FOUR (4) time world cup winners, Netherlands – have been the team to play in the finals 3 times and also were the semifinalist in 2014 and Chile the country with so much passion for football did not make it for this FIFA World Cup 2018; an eye opener, isn’t it?

The 32 Countries who are playing in 2018 FIFA World Cup are:

Group A Group B Group C Group D Group E Group F Group G Group H
Russia Portugal France Argentina Brazil Germany Belgium Poland
Saudi Arabia Spain Australia Iceland Switzerland Mexico Panama Senegal
Egypt Morocco Peru Croatia Costa Rica Sweden Tunisia Columbia
