The ‘Men in Blue’ are in the lead after winning the 1st Twenty 20 and that is not something the Kiwis would have wanted. India batting first Dhawan and Rohit gave a great start, India set a huge total of 202 runs on a spinning Feroz shah Kotla wicket which played to the India’s advantage even in the second innings and NZ were required to hit 54 Runs on the Last ball from Ashish Nehra who bowled the last ball of his career at his home ground.
Contest is midway, the Kiwis eager to fight their way back to keep themselves alive in the series especially after losing the ODI series, wouldn’t we all love that? New Zealand wins the 2nd T20 and we would get to watch a Grand Contest – a finale the 3 rd 20-20 in “Gods Own Country” Kerala’s capital city – Thiruvananthapuram, Venue – Greenfield International Stadium; well for that the batsmen of NZ really need to adapt to the Indian conditions and bowling.
The next (2nd) T 20 will happen in less than 24 hours on 4th November 2017 in Rajkot – Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium.
